Strength Through Surrender

True Strength Comes from Trust

Our world often teaches us that strength means handling everything on our own. We celebrate independence, resilience, and self-sufficiency. While those qualities have value, there are moments when the strongest thing we can do is admit that we need help.

Surrender isn’t weakness.

It is the courage to place our trust in God and recognize that we were never meant to carry every burden by ourselves.

There will always be situations we cannot control—unexpected loss, unanswered questions, or difficult relationships. Trying to manage everything alone often leaves us overwhelmed. When we surrender those burdens to God, we exchange anxiety for peace and fear for faith.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” — James 4:10

God’s strength becomes most visible when we acknowledge our need for Him. He doesn’t expect perfection; He simply invites us to trust Him one step at a time.

A Daily Practice of Surrender

Take a quiet moment today and write down one burden you’ve been carrying.

Pray over it and consciously place it in God’s hands. Then choose one practical step you can take while trusting Him with the outcome.

Reflection

Strength isn’t found in controlling every circumstance. It’s found in knowing you never walk through life alone.
